Diana Lawson, owner of Above and Beyond of the Upstate, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2005.
After graduation, she worked in various settings with young children. In early 2011, she started her career as an Early Interventionist in Greenville county.
Over the past six years, she has come to the realization that her greatest desire was to enhance the lives of special needs children and their families.
Martha Keaton, Early Interventionist of Above and Beyond of the Upstate received her Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and Masters of Education in Special Education.
After teaching in a Preschool Special Education classroom for 10 years, she chose to leave the public school to work with infants and smaller children.
Martha is committed to providing quality professional services to parents, serving as a resource and to ensure each child reaches his or her full potential.
Rebecca Cohen, Early Interventionist, graduated from Rhode Island College in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in psychology.
After graduation, Rebecca worked as a social worker for children in therapeutic foster care. She also taught at a private school for eight years before deciding to work with children one on one. She loves working with children and their families while helping them reach their goals!
In addition to being an EI, Rebecca is the proud mom of two boys! They continue to teach her new things each day.
Lauren Ammermann, Early Interventionist, graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2010. Lauren has been working as an Early Interventionist since 2013 and has helped many children exceed expectations.
Lauren enjoys working with families and seeing children meet their goals. She also enjoys working with all of the wonderful therapy providers in the area.
In addition to being an EI, Lauren is a wife and mommy which makes her work so meaningful. Everyone deserves to succeed.
Lauren Cotton, Early Interventionist, graduated from Louisiana State University in 2017 with a dual degree in Elementary/Special Education.
After graduation, Lauren moved from her home state of Louisiana to Greenville, South Carolina. She started her professional career as a special education teacher in Simpsonville and worked for 3 years with Kindergarten - 5th grade aged children in a self-contained classroom setting. Lauren loves finding ways to engage children and their families in hands-on activities that help achieve personal growth towards individual goals.
In addition to being and EI, Lauren enjoys exploring the Upstate with her dog, Marble, and spending time with her cat, Shiloh. Her time spent with her “fur babies” and previous students has instilled a deep rooted level of compassion for others.
